SUICIDE IS NOT A WAY OUT OF THE IMPASSE
On April 10, 2025, Olzhabayeva Anar Nurlanovna, the group supervisor of the GS-23o study group from the "Field Development and Digital Technologies Specialties" department, held a parents' meeting on the topic "Suicide is not a way out of a dead end." The meeting was attended by T.B. Baigabylov, Deputy Director of the College for Educational Work, U. Usmanov, Head of the "Field Development and Digital Technologies Specialties" department, and S. Seitzhan, the college psychologist.
College psychologist S. Seitzhan spoke on the topic and called for parents, teachers, psychologists and social workers, and healthy lifestyle specialists to work together to prevent suicide. It was noted that preventive work should be done first and foremost, and it was emphasized that more activities such as lectures, conversations, interviews, consultations, and question-and-answer sessions on this topic are being conducted among adolescents and young people.
The participants of the meeting also exchanged views on complex issues in child-rearing today: depression, gambling addiction, and dependency.
